I'm looking for an arch measurement on the rear leaf spring of a 88-00 2500 or 3500 pickup with an empty bed, but the weight of the truck still on the spring. From the center of each eye to the top of the spring pack, as in "C" below. It should be a 5+1 spring pack.

Trying to figure out how flat they should be so I can determine if mine are done. I've only got 2.5" of arch with the weight of the truck on the springs. That means 4.5" is being taken up by the truck alone, no load. Plus, I can see light between all the leaves, which I think is a bad thing. Kind of worried about new ones lifting the rear too much.

Best I can tell, it's right about 2.5 inches with just over 64 in. end to end.

This truck is a 99 3/4 ton. 5 +1 springs. Handled a 1800 lb. cabover camper with a little squat. He's gonna put small air bags on it, so he doesn't have to change anything when he also pulls a trailer.

Thanks...I guess they aren't too flat, then. 2.5" is what I've got, also, 64" end to end along the spring. They just look very flat. I'll put some rebound clamps on there and call it a day for now. Appreciate you measuring for me!
