I just got an International P/U. I'm wondering about the width of the mounts on the axle. Also the measurement of the spring from eyelet to eyelet. 48" sound familiar for some reason. The International is 32" wide and the springs are 42" for those that are curious.

Any help would be appriciated, my junk is at the farm and i don't wanna search.

gm is 32" centers if i recall and 47" eye to eye on the fronts.

that ih truck might have a divorced 205 in it. i have seen a few with them. i own 1 tcase from 1 also. and the frame mounts also as the ih frames were the same width as gm truck frames of 73-87

I'm 99% sure it is a NP205. 32 spline i do beleive:D.

It's a 73 the last year with drum brakes on the front and i'm just weighing my options as far as swapping in a Chevy front or an International front with disk brakes. I have access to some part IH's just gotta scope them out. Hope to have some updates soon.

yep 205 is the ih case i have. and all 205 divorced from the info i have seen are 32 spline on all.

and i would go gm axle. 100% better parts selections.

i have seen some ih stuff and its rare ih only stuff or funky factory cross bread stuff. i would go gm driveline and be done unless its super clean and 90% orignal all there.
