Spring pad with question

Will a semi-float 14b out of a 81-87 2wd 3/4 ton work in a 81-87 K5 with out modification? Are the spring pads the same width? If I wanted to convert it back to 6 lug, would that just be a simple axle change? Thanks for the help.

1 ton is the diffrent only. and then if you realy didnt want to move perches its the hangers that are diffrent. so to answer your question yes it will bolt in.

Thanks. I thought that was so, just was not sure about the 2wd versions. Are the axle shafts interchangeable between 8 lug and 6 lug on a semi-float 14b?

thay didnt make a 6 lug in the 73-87 style that i know of. and the newer 88-up i am sure went wider. so to do this it might be use the 88-up style housing and get the 6 lug from a light duty 2x4 3/4 ton or 1/2 ton with trail towing package option. or the 8 lug from heavy 3/4 ton or light 1 ton.
