These are the stock perches on my 3/4 14 BFF.

Are these going to crush like I've seen some do?

I don't want them to be an issue down the road.

Thanks,

Steve

Your spring perches are completely different that those in the pic. Yours have 4 sides to them and are completely welded to the axle tube. The ones in the pic only have 2 sides. That is why they crushed. Yours are considerably stronger than the ones shown in the picture.

are those ones that bent about 3/16 to maybe a 1/4 thick? thats about what it looks like. the pearches on two of my 14ff are really thick, atleast 3/8. they dont look like they will ever be bending. i have another 14ff that has the same solid pearches too.

14ff perches are cast iron and only problem is rust over the years . but buy the time thay rust out your truck wont be around any more. :p:

Its a southern saltless truck too :D

dont worry then thay look great. only problem i have found is the pin hole gets full of crap. so clean it out good and clamp the springs on and go have fun.:p:

they are not only cast, i just dont know what year they went to stamped steel, and over the years they must have went thicker with the steel used for those pearches.
