spring pirch width on first gen compared to sec. gen

are the spring pirches the same width appart on the first generation k5s as they are on the 73-91s?

Duno for sure but I would say yes. The Dana60 rear I have came out of a late 70s model 3/4ton longbed P/U. The pirches didnot need relocating.

No. They are about 1.5 or 2 inches narrower. The first gen's have the same spring width as 1 ton (chevy/gmc) trucks do.

The rear first gen is the same (or close enough) as '73 + 1 tons. If swapping rears, you will have to relocate the shock mounts on the axle. The fronts are the same.
