Okay, yet again, I have gotten myself confused. I was wanting/planning on putting 52's in the front, and 57's in the back. So here is my question. If I wanted to net approx. 8" of lift with narrowed f/r will I have to get brand new 57's/52's or can I reuse the old ones? So what I am trying to say, is it worth keeping the 57's off the ford, and 52's from the blazer, or will they just get trashed? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

8" of lift, unless you make drop mounts off the frame it won't happen with stockers. I'd say lift springs. Like 2" lift 52s would work. Rear lift springs are often more expensive than fronts. And no one has done this that I know of to determine how it works. I'd think it will still flex great.

And I will need 2" lift ford springs too?

when I said 8" I meant 52" in front will give me around 4" of lift stock, then add 4"'s more. Then in the rear, 4" furds, then a shackle flip.

There are too many problems with the Ford 57s in my opinion. Especially if you're new to this, I'd stick to something easier.

eh 52s net more like 5" I believe. Why I said 2-3" springs. As for the rear, I don't know what to say there, I'd run 56" Chevy springs(just to keep her all Chevy) and probably 4" lift of those. And Tim is right, 57s can work but I think they aren't worth it. 56s or 63s are better choices.

Yeah I read a few posts of people bending there 57's, and since I'd have to buy new lifted ones I'll just go with 56's. Now onto another question, are ORD's prices good for there springs?

you gotta stand back and think "do i really need 8" of lift"

thats a lot of height imho.
throw them on since you have em and work from there

8" of lift isn't alot when you have 44" boggers ready to tear away the fenders if you flex /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

ok, i guess the 44's are that much bigger than my 42's.
im having no problem with 5 1/2" lift
just trying to help

Oh, i never knew you ran 42's. Sorry /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Do you rub at all when flexing with only 5.5" of lift?

not if you trim the fenders /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

How much did you trim? That looks like alot? Maybe it's just the picture? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
