Spring Question

I found a couple lift springs in a junkyard the other day and I couldn't pass them up for $35. Flipped upside down they measure a little above 7.8 inches from the ground to the main leaf and this already accounts for the 1/2 inch from the ground to the center of the eye.
I couldn't find a part number but there are 6 leafs in the pack and according to a leaf spring rate calculator they are about 721 lb/in. Also, if I remove 3 leaves it came out to 361 lb/in which is way better for what I want.

Hypothetically, could I pull out the bottom 3 leaves to get the rate I want and not affect stability on the road? Is there a way to determine the lift without having them on the truck? And last how much lift could I lose by removing the leafs? I think they are about a 6 or 8" lift, but I really want more of a 4".

I have a pair of unknown brand 4" lift front springs in the garage. They have 5 leafs. Flipped upside down they measure about 7 and 5/8" from the concrete to the top of the arch where the spring pin is.

Hope that helps.

Hmm actually that does help a little. I didn't think a 4" spring would have that much of an arch to it. Thanks for the help.
