as far as 56 inch springs, how do aftermarket springs like TC compare with stock K30 springs? I'm trying to decide how to get rid of my blocks, and the flip is an attractive option, but not if my ride would improve with an aftermarket spring (besides a $$$ custom of course!).

if you like flex go with the flip, if you want a less swaying ride go with the new spring packs.
the flatter the springs the better the flex.
