To all of you that have bone stock blazers (I know, all 2 of you)...:D

Does anybody have the specs on how much space should be between the top of the u-bolt plate and the bottom of the bump stop? I am trying to figure out how much my Original 1973 GMC Jimmy springs have sagged both front and rear. Unfortunately, search turned up nothing... :-(

Cheers,

Rufus

It doesn't seem like the fronts sag as much as the rear. My truck isn't as old, but a 2" add a leaf in the rear made it almost dead even front/rear, FWIW.

Mine's bone stock and sits level. I have no idea on the distances but if you really need it I can go measure when it's light out.

Mine is bone stock, and I have enough sag in the rear to start to unload the front springs. This gives the fronts a more normal upward arc, compared to the stock reverse arc that they should be at. The front springs tend to hold up better than the rear springs.

That is until you do a few mild jumps with the stock front springs.... :D
My passenger side was about touching the bump stop after some jump abuse (just before I pulled them off to put new lift springs on)

According to my "calibrated" eyeball I have about 1.75 inches between the bracket and the bump stop. I will measure it tonight. I know that the springs should have a reverse arch to them but it seems a bit more than I remember.

I am sitting level currently but I am planing on doing a shackle flip in the back and either rebuilding the pack or replacing it but if they are sagging...replacement time.
