So i have read just about every post out there on this and finally took the leap and i am happy with the results thus far but need some fine tuning still. I had access to a 5 leaf pack 63" springs (think the guys said they came out of a 3500 chevy) that i swapped into the rear with some custom brackets i designed and such. I then move my stock 52" springs to the front. As of right now my 63" rears are way too stiff (no overload). I experimented by removing one leaf (second smallest and still no overload) and they sat almost flat as seen in the pictures below.
My question is for those (if anyone) running these packs what leaf should i remove? Is that arc ok or should i remove one of the longer springs instead? I plan on putting the overload back in, will that help the arc are just stop it from in-versing?
Also I feel my front 52" sit a little high and would like to lower them. They are stock from the rear of my 90 blazer 350 700r4. Is there another 52" set up that would give me a lower ride height (i'm about 4-5") and maybe a slightly softer ride. Would 56" accomplish this? Has any one removed a leaf in the front? Seems like it might be to soft at that point?
