I see a lot of numbers get thrown around 52's, 57's, 63's, etc.... But what the hell does it all mean!! :dunno:

Has anyone ever done a write up on effects of swaping different length springs? I did a pretty lengthy search, looked on the home page in Tech as well, but couldn't find a consise, article about it.....

I need to figure out how to stick to all my Heep driving buddies that say a full size can't flex...

52,56,57,63 is all the spring eye to eye mesurment. 57 is ford and all the rest are chevy. the longer the more flex and much smother ride. do a serch there is lots of info on the swaps. thay are on hear every once in a while.

and the longer and flexier they are the more they are prone to axle wrap. Then you will want to think about and anti-wrap bar

My 64s don't wrap like my 52s on my other truck do. I think it's due to the really thick main leaf. On my truck with the 52s I get wicked wrap and obnoxious wheelhop... with the project rig the wrap is less and I don't get wheelhop.

my definitive 52" spring swap write up is coming... soon. if the rain will stop for a few mins over the next few days, that would help a lot. ;) just about done...
