I got a few questions boiling in my mind. 1* what's the difference between a 69-72 and 73&up rear leaf spring? width? i believe they're all mostly 52" springs if i'm right. for example, would a rear leaf spring made for an 87' Blazer work on my '72 Blazer? 2* what's the wms for a gm d60? THANKS.

Rear leafs are the same for all Blazers.

I've got a set of '89 springs on my '72.

The later model springs are WAAAAY softer than the 1st Gen stockers....It's a cheap way (almost FREE) to get better flex.

so there's no diff? i ordered a shackle flip and HD shackle from ORD for my '72 and have a set of springs from a 73&up gm, so everything would bolt up like i was using '72 springs? thanks.

Like I said, in the rear the spring lengths are all the same. :wink1:

Up front it's a different story. Stock 1st Gen springs are only 44"...later model ones (73+) are at least a couple inches longer than that.

I'm running the ORD shackle flip, HD fron shackles, and the '89 rear springs....check some of the other threads here for some of my flex pics. You'll be surprised at what it possible without going to a super-exotic suspension setup.
