which is the better option BDS or tuff country or a different spring (flex, cost, quality)

also does anyone know the spring rates of either springs (2, 4, or 6")

Both are good. The TC 4" EZ rides have the softest spring rates, but that means that they may wear out faster on a heavy rig.
I run them on my Exo'd K5 with a winch.

yea i have 4in rough countrys on my k5 now and their a little on the stiff side for flex
but my truck is on the heavy side and its still a DD
would like more flex tho

I've only used Rancho, Pro-Comp and Superlift. I like the Superlifts the best out of the three, and I got a good deal on them at their e-bay scratch-n-dent store. Of the three, they seem to flex the best and have the smoothest ride.

ive got 8" BDS and they are softer than the 3" rough country springs that were on it before. love them

I've run Pro-comp, superlift, rancho and BDS. Want your truck to handle great on road? Get rancho or pro-comp. They have NO flex and they ride like you have no springs. Superlift soft-rides are good. They are a good choice if you want a spring that will flex ok but will still be stiff enough to help control axle wrap and haul heavy stuff. BDS springs are the best for the $ IMO. I have ragged on my front 6" springs and they have never even wimpered. And if they do, I will take them back to the shop I bought them at and go home with two new springs, no questions asked. My kind of warranty. Oh yeah, they flex like mad too!

i got mine from local shop. go to the bds website and search for distributors near you. best for the money and warranty

i've got one exactly 8.0 miles from my house, even on the same street :D

I have 8" BDS springs on my Suburban, and i love em.

Before the BDS 8" i had Superlift 6" Softride. They were ok, but they sagged almost 1" and a half in the first 6 months.

I'm running BDS 4" springs and they ride really nice. Plus they have the no fine print warranty.

I'm running BDS 6" springs up front. After initial break in they started to sag about 1" maybe 2" at the most, they're still a 6" spring but they started at about 8" when installed. As far as the ride goes, they're simply incredible for a cookie cutter leaf spring. I'm running 64" springs in the back from a 2wd truck and the BDS springs compliment those very well. I'd reccomend them any day.

i have BDS springs under my truck and i swear by them... they are the smoothest riding, most articulate spring ive ever riden on...they have tapered ends, teflon wear pads, and polyurethene bushings...and that warranty is unbeatable....i reccomend them to anyone thinking about lifting their truck....the ONLY problem i have had is the bushing in one of the rear springs went out pretty quick, but i think that was my own fault for torqing the bolt down when the spring was unloaded ( i lifted the ass end up w/ a cherry picker and tightened up the bolts and then let the weight of the truck down and i think it twisted the bushing all to ****...oops:doah:).....also when i ordered them i ordered 56" and they sent me 52" but that was not BDS' fualt, that was the shop i ordered them from...but i put them through hell and back and they are awsome....i like them soo much i had my buddy make me a HUGE BDS suspension decal for the hood of my truck....there is no other suspension company out there better than Big Dick Suspension. but that is just my .37 cents :D
