After blowing the motor in my Pickup I have been working on getting my '85 GMC Jimmy up to reliable and legal status. Put on my new front bumper and grill guard today.

Also took out the old distributor and put in a spare. Found the PO cut the wires that used to lead to a knock sensor rather than replacing the distributor when they put in the crate 350. :doah:

Kenny, why do some shocks compress like that, and some dont? Is it that it isnt nitrogen charged?

Looks good. :D :D

So...what's your plans for this rig...

Yep, those are just oil filled shocks so where ever you out them them stay. With the nitrogens they have a air shock effect and will stayed pushed out.
Not sure how much the nitrogens actualyy dampen better but it seems like they would stuffen up the ride.

Good looking K5 though..........Whens the 1 tons and 40's? :D

Looks good Kenny. What brand springs are those? :ears:

Damn... that was pretty good :D I got them used and was told they were 3" but that is probably someone forgetting what they actually bought.

It's going to be my wheeler, I have a set of front fenders that are already cut going on soon, 2.5-3" of lift, HP Dana 44 front with GM 8 lug outers, GM Dana 60 rear with powerlock, 4.10 gears (just because both axles came with them for now), 32 spline SM465/Ford NP205, hydroclutch, 6.2L diesel, then 37" radial SSR's I picked up on a trade for now... Also going to be my backup as daily driver (primary right now as my truck is down).

If you guys wanna stop by and help with the lift, I'll have a BBQ going with some steaks :D

Just scored a very nice set of stock bucket seats at the wrecking yard today for $50 to replace my broken down leaning originals.

I already have a couple for the front with pins, but could always use a couple more for the rear :D PM me with a price shipped to 99323 if you are willing to ship them (regular snail mail is fine).
