Square nuts

Found ours at the local mom and pop hardware store. I saw some at Lowes last trip also.

square nuts..??

Telephone pole??  ....I see them holding transformers on,and guy wires.. ..

I've seen them in farm supply stores, and at places like "U-Haul" that install trailer hitches---but why use a square nut that probably isn't even a grade 5??...is it the only thing that will work for whatever reason?..not sure I'd trust them under those kinds of conditions a winch is likely to see..

Need them because thats what came with the winch. A regular nut will not fit. Think I might go cheap and steel 2 from a transformer then.:eek1::haha:

Well steal them far from my house 'cause I don't want to be inconvenienced by a power outage when you blow your own nuts off stealing those.:haha:
