I'm thinking of building a set of square tube rock sliders, vs the traditional round ones. I think the square tubing will following along the lines of the blazer nicely. Does anyone have some pics of square tube rock sliders with square tube "tree bars". That way I can get an idea if it would look good or not before I spend the money on metal.

I wouldn't mind doing that, if my rockers weren't in perfect shape. I was thinking of making bolt on square rock sliders. But thanks for the pics

Oh I gotcha, If you're doing it that way then I would try to do an angled slider that follows the body lines of the existing rocker. There are some automatic running boards that tuck up when the doors are closed and they are shaped to follow the body line of the vehicle they are on. If you did it that way I think it would look good.

Sweet, how do you think it would look with some square tree bars coming off of the main slider portion.

There are some pics in my build thread prolly around halfway through. Pretty similar to pumkins, but with steps cut into them and a little more rounded on the step bars. Mine are 3x2 main slider with 2x2 steps.

Here are mine. they are bolted to the bodymounts and to the frame with poly bushings. I cut the pinch welds to get the sliders up against the body. I never liked the look of the sliders below the pinch welds

If you were closer I'd make you a deal on them! I don't think I can make them work with my new plans. I need to get narrower in the middle so I'm thinking of doing a boatside and mounting them up higher and in more then mount my A and B pillars of the cage to them.

I wouldn't mind cutting out my rockers and doing some serious body mods on the truck. But with it being an rust free truck that has been my family for years, i would really hate to chop this truck up. So i'm trying to protect the sheet metal while keeping the clean look at the same time.
Also, here is a poser pic i did shortly after buying the truck from my pops. I really need to get rid of those girl steps! But the boss needs them to get into and out of the truck, so i may incorporate a removable step into my sliders.

What is your time frame for that? I may be interested in them but my truck fund is empty right now...

Brian those look really nice!

Taking the time to put the little tread plate set-in step gives those tubes definite fabrication bonus points!

Yeah I wouldn't cut it up either! Mine were originally designed to protect the metal and do a good job of keeping the rockers clean, but the width is restrictive with our right trails and at this point saving my body is a pipe dream lol!

I'll let you know if/when I get ready to get rid of them. Shipping might be kinda spendy!
