Hey all, just for background I have a fanclutch I think is bad so you may say that is the prob, i just dont have cash to fix it right now. Whenever I give it mid to full throttle i get a squeal from teh front of the motor (sound like atleast) that wont stop until I let off the gas. It doesnt do it if its in park just when going down the road. Any ideas what it could be?

You have a loose belt somewhere.
Check them all and make sure they are tight.
If the belts are old, you should look at changing them. Old belts can become hard causing them to slip under load.

theyre all tight and theyre all new. Hmn now that I think about it when i misplumbed powersteering system (dont ask) and fluid went everywhere maybe some fluid got on the belts. Ill try some belt dressin see if that helps

I thought my Alt belt was tight and it squealed. I put a wrench (big) in the hole in top alt bracket and put more tension on belt, no more squeal. Just a thought. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

I always like 1/4 inch. Works in my case. Cost nothing to try it. Hope it helps. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
