Which way would you go?

This is going to be a DD/Trail rig. I'm planning on running 38" Michelins for daily use as they are cheap and wear like iron. Eventually I will get a set of 40's of the Swamper type variety for offroad use.

I want to run H1's for the offroad tires. If I go dually, I can run them stock backspacing and the savings of not having to recenter them basically pays for a tire of choice. Only problem is I don't know what wheels to run for daily use. (a tubed flatbed will replace the bed so no dually fender in the back) The HD wheels seem to have a decent amount of backspacing. I don't know how much this would offset the dually hubs though. :confused:

If I go SRW, then I have the added expense of recentering the H1's later down the road but can run regular wheels for daily.

Which way would you go?
 
Since this seems to be headed in a tie direction, why would you choose one or the other? If you pick dually, what would you run for daily wheels?
 
I would say 80/20 to 70/30. Maybe more offroading as things progress. Having just moved out here, I think I'll be going out a lot more than I used to once I have a rig again. The Michelin's will have to be my everything tire for a while until I can afford another set. So realistically H1's won't come for a while. Although I've thought about just running them stock with the 36" Goodyears if I got a dually.

I just don't know what else I could run for wheels on a DRW setup other than stock H1's. Although, I have yet to find a SRW in what I'm looking at. Not sure if they even built the damn things. :crazy:
