I Need replacement hubs for my 14ff axle. I used mine on my D70hd build. I want to sell the 14ff and nobody wants it without hubs.

I have a pair I pulled off mine to make it dually.
Let me see where they are and we'll talk pricing.

Okay, I was supposed to be betting a set off Ebay for $30 each plus shipping but he never got back with me with what the shipping would be. You can check Ebay if you want they are still there. Anyway, can you do it for $30 each plus shipping....if shipping isn't crazy? I know they are heavy but I think they will fit in a large flat rate.

I vaguely remember trying to squeeze a set of these into a flat rate box and it not working. There is no room left for packing material around the hub to prevent damage during shipping.

Damage to the box...right? LOL.

Yeah, they can do some damage...BUT, Filament/strapping tape holds the box together quite well. USPS never said the flat rate box can't be reenforced with tape. :waytogo:

I have gotten/sent quite a few things that way.

I can do that.
Let me get my dually hubs and then we'll talk, should be a week or so.
In the mean time if you find some and you are in a hurry go ahead and buy, I am not considering we have a deal yet till I have mine ready.
Cool?

USPS is notorious about items damaged from shipping when the packaging isn't up to the task. There isn't much they could do to a bearing hub from a 14 bolt unless they dropped it on the ground. But, if the box tears open and they get loose, you will just get an empty box in the mail.

Not the way I ship.:waytogo:
Had that happen to me with very important, irreplaceable papers, so now I make the inside of the box one with the box.
And I try to make the box indestructable with tape.
I buy clear tape from Costco in bulk.

You need Dually hubs? I have a set I just removed, all bearings and races installed still. Straight trade? Just shipping for us both.

I can do that.

Well I have a set on one of my axles that I have coming back to me after we got seperated.:D
Now that I think of it, the other axle would need hubs then...
I guess I should do that.
Since I have never swapped those before, is it only the hub that is different, or is the drum and the backing plate also different?
I was not worried because I would have both axles here and I would swap what ever is needed, but if I am giving you the hubs, I need to make sure I will have everything to convert to Dually stock form.

I would think the drum and backing is different but I will go check since they are both in the junk pile.

I have the backing plates/drum and brakes, etc. I dont need them but that is a lot of extra heavyness to ship. I will give them to you with the hubs.

I only need the SRW hubs. I did a disk brake swap on the 14ff already so all I am missing is hubs.

Like I said, you can have it all if you want it but you will have to help out with shipping. I will never use them. Just trade SRW hubs for all of it and we are both good to go. :)

Yep, the two are significantly different.

The dually brakes are much wider and the tube sizes are different. The mounting holes would then be different, the drum, etc, etc, and so on.

The brake pads looked good on the dually set. There is some leakage evident but not fresh. It may leak a little or it may be from a replaced brake piston. Not sure as this belonged to my Father-in-law and he passed away so I can't ask. I know they worked fine before they were removed...and they would be free. LOL.

They brake cables are still attached and I would have to scroung up some backing plate bolts but I am sure I can find them somewhere in that mess. So, if you need it, all of they Dually hardware for the SRW hubs. Just help with shipping as they will take several boxes due to heavyness. I don't think the drums will fit in flat rates.

Let me think about his for a day.
I might just get the hubs and go with disc brakes or change my mind and keep the hubs.
Tomorrow night I will make a yay or ney.
SOrry:eek1:

No problem. If you don't want to ship this heavy crap I understand completely.

OK, I will go back to the original plan, I sell you the hubs.
I have a lead on a full setup for my axle.
I will be back home in a few days and I will get them boxed and ready to go.
