Well I bought a 91 suburban as me new toy and well I figured I would change brakes and do a little maintence on it before taking it out. Well got the front pads changed rotors where all good. Got to the rear. And to my suprise the passenger rear rotor was chewed up beyond repair not to mention the outer pad is nowhere to be found and to add more insult to injury the caliper is is froze up solid as a rock. And what's really sad about the whole deal is ssbc wants me to pay for the rotor 60.00 and caliper 250.00 to replace it. Iheard they sold some good equipment but after today I just can't justify paying close to 2/3 of the cost for a brand new kit from them to replace what is in my opinion a defective part that should be replaced in good faith. I'm not trying to steal from them id be happy if they pay for the dirty underwear and the ripped seat cover from ass trying to eat the seat when I hit the brakes lol. Guess what iam getting at is does anyone hear have this kit on their rig and what have you experienced with them. Also anyone have these parts laying around and wanna sell me them for less than what the wanna sell them to me for? Thanks all ,chris

Not sure about that kit or what kind of calipers they use in them, but if they don't use a stock front style caliper, maybe they are using one like GM did in their rear disk brake vehicles where the piston doesn't push in like the fronts, but they need to be twisted/turned in to fit new pads.

I hope this isn't why you are thinking it is locked up perhaps? I've come across several people that didn't know about the rear caliper being different in this style than the fronts.
