I have a dana 44. it had the steering stabilizer going from the center of the axle tube to the drivers side tie rod. I got the flat top knuckle for the passenger, and the tie rods go in from the top, So I used the tie rod that was with the flat top. and put the drivers side on too.

Question, does any one know of a bracket that I can put on the tie rod to hold the factory style stabilizer? The hole on the tie rod I put on is right in front of the mount for the stabilizer that is on my axle tube. I need some sort of mounting point that I can bolt on to my tie rod, so I can put my stablizer back on. here's some pics of what I got.

Well I got my tie rod from ORD and I just called them today to order the TRE's and they also have the steering stabilizer kit that uses U-Bolts on the tie rod. It was $15, I would give ORD a call.

Mine was a little bit of a project but I am running hi steer on a 10b and this was my solution. Kert @ DIY made the bracket. I just welded the tabs on the tie rod.

i dont know if this could work but are the holes reamed the same on the rod ends on the 44 and 10b? could you just use the 10b tie rod upside down?

they are opposite the 10b is one way and the 44 is in the opposite. That is what you are running into in the 1st place right? with the 44 knuckles the tie rod is higher.

yeah i know, can you turn the rod upside down and on top of the knucle arm on the 44?

when i had this problem, i cut the bracket off of the 10 bolt and moved it to the 44 spot on the housing and welded it back on. Then I just got a long grade 8 fine thread bolt and nut and just made sure it went thru the taper hole and bolted it on with washers as my spacer thru the stabilizer. Really cheap fix, like 3.00 at the local hardware store. Then i went wheeling and hit it hard, bent the stabilizer bad and it froze my steering so i threw the stabilizer in the trash and never looked back. Should have never botherd in the first place.

I had to have the stabilizer. I ran with out it for a few months and every once in a great while I would hit just the right bump and get DW. scarrier than SHEEEEIIIIIIITTT. Now I dont have to worry bout it. Every thing ine the front susp is new and tight so I am thinking it is from the caster on the front axle with a 7" lift.
