Should I go with stainless or steel tranny cooler lines from inline tube. My old lines I found were wearing against each other and had lost some metal. Broken lines are a common cause for engine fires as the tranny fluid hits the exhaust pipe. I would like to get some lines that are going to be strong and bullet proof.

I have seen people use copper with good results. Bends easy and doesn't rust.

if you had chafe issues, I definitely wouldn't run copper.. it's WAY soft...

ss will last WAY longer than steel, but is much less user-friendly... ss is difficult to work with if you make them yourself... buying prebent, ss is a good option if you can afford it...

Its only 70 bucks from inline tube for stainless. Some one had taken of the support brace that mounts to the oil pan bolt. This caused the lines to rub a wear. I'm cautious since line fail is a common cause for engine fire

pick your choice then wrap them with rubber hose, or use braided... a lot of options out there but I dont think tubing material is an issue

I think Zimmer used the stainless lines and had a hell of a time with them. Not sure where he got them from but sounded like the flare wasn't quite right. Couldn't get them to seal for nuttin.
