I have a 1987 GMC Jimmy and am trying to figure out the stock torque convertor stall speed of torque convertors put in the 700R4 Using the 5.7 Liter V-8 engine.

Thanks for the help, Marshall:confused:

all trucks, burbs and blazers came with a 1428 stall speed converter. some 305 models came with a 1568 stall speed

s10 with a 4.3 and IROC camaros came with 1639 stall
the caprice cop cars, corvettes and MPFI camaros came with a 1996 stall speed converter.

diesels have a 1211 stall speed.

1428 rpm... so i guess its good to stay within that range or is it better to get a 1500 or 1600 for stock or should i just get a 1400 to keep it stock since that is primarily what it is?
