okay, so i asked within another thread, but i keep stalling (even after warmed up) if i punch the gas and then let off it quick..if i slowly let off i usually won't stall. just rebuilt the 350 sb carbed (out of 75 camaro, stupid PO)

i am buying a new fuel filter, should i also buy a distributor cap and rotor? i read about that in another post; will this fix it? how much would this cost? is there anything else i should replace that i should worry about?

You can look at a distributor cap and rotor. If they aren't cracked, they are good. If they have corrosion on the metal, you can clean it off. Make sure the spark plug terminals on the cap are still tight. Seen cheapy aftermarkets loosen up. There is no reason to replace if they look fine, there is nothing complex about them.

I think I'd be looking for a vacuum leak. How is idle/startup?

What carb do you have? If it is a vaccum advance what spring is on the diaphram? It might have too light of one and be flooding itself out.

Well it could, if time is right, plugs/wires are good, idle is fine, acceleration is fine, engine vacuum is good, then not much else I can think of to cause stalling when you let off the gas.

alright i'll start with the fuel filter, will seafoam help clean the carb out? the dizzy cap is fine, how do i check the rotor though? thanks.
