this is a air compressor correct?

for arb's airing up tires and other things eh?

Hey Muddy, what's with the piece of allthread on the outer bracket? Looks like there's an inner bracket that bolts to the compressor, and then it's got a threaded hole... is that an adjustment for tension on the belt?

I fabbed those up myself /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Aaron, its not actually a piece of allthread, its a bolt with the head cut off that has been welded to that inner plate bolted to the compressor for just like you said, a belt tensioner /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

SWEET!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Looks great!!!

Guess its time for me to get off my /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif and get mine done...

Great mind must think alike! Your bracket looks just like mine except for the tray portion on mine is the other way around so my belt adjustment is pushing instead of pulling like yours. What is the extra triangle piece with 3 hole for? Spacer on the end of the head? The alignment on yours is a little different also. Mine comes together just a hair off the centerline of the tray. I'm using a double power steering pully to drive it. Looks great, you'll be very happy when its all together.

Looking good, do you have all the rest of the parts. Ace hardware sells the pressure switch kilby uses for 25$ and they stock it on the shelf. Walmart has a filter for keeping water and air out of your lines for 12$.

Yeah, the extra triangle piece is just made of 14gauge sheet metal to act as 1 big washer for the 3 end of head bolts to move the bracket just that much out from the head as to not rub/squish the valve cover flange /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

My rig came stock with a double pulley as my burb USED to have a/c /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Not yet, I do have my 2 tanks already...5 gallons each. Going to slowly start picking up stuff here and there over the next months. But it will be completed and working by the end of summer /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I work on this in my spare time when I've got a down time from building parts for other people /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
