I've got a Tilton mini starter on my truck, I got it used but in excellent shape. Knock on wood, it has been flawless and I haven't been nice to it - lots of mud around here!

I worked in parts for 15 years, starters and alternators absolutely fall into the "get what you pay for" catagory. I'm not saying you have to buy an expensive mini starter to get something good, but IMO you should at least buy an AC Delco reman unit.
