Starter Nose Cone

I know this technically should be in the wanted section, but I figure that the diesel crowd would see it bettter here.
I need the nose piece off of a 6.2 starter, mine cracked right after I rebuilt it, so the starter isn't worth tossing, plus they are so friggin expensive!

Which starter would that be for? The regular one or the gear reduction starter?

the regular one.... do you have the reduction one? i'd like to rebuild one of those and try it too..

I rebuilt a gear reduction unit when I first did my swap. Also had a regular starter, but it was complete junk (and got chucked out...sorry)

The starter I rebuilt worked OK for about 6 months then started to not crank so great. I finally broke down and bought a Bosch reman and it's been awesome. Not cheap, but it sure does crank!

I've got an extra 6.2L starter but it's going to be needed in a month or two when I convert another truck to Diesel... Though I've been very interested in going with the gear reduction starter if it ends up testing bad for some reason.
