I have been having problems with the truck starting lately.
It all started when i left the line lock on one day, put the charger on it and i thought it was fine well a day later i went to start it and it just clicked once like a dead battery the dash light would dim and the radio would die when you clicked it to start it. well its a manual with a carbed 350 1986 so i had my brother pull me poped the clutch and it started right up.
Well today i went out moved the truck 2 times everything is fine. Go down to the gas station and it did the same thing, turn the key click just like before a solid click like its hitting something but wont turn over had another guy there pull me pop the clutch starts right up. So i go to the parts store put in brand new battery same thing nothing. So i call my sister she come with her car hook up a strap gets me going 5 mph pop the clutch and it starts so i drive it home and there it sits. any guesses?

Try taking the wires off the starter and cleaning the connectors with sandpaper. I had the same clicking issue w/ a starter and this fixed it. If the truck starts w/o a jump, a dead battery is not the issue.

The thing is is on the way home i pushed in the clutch with the truck running hit the starter and i could hear the starter hitting the flywheel like when you try to start a car with it already running. So i know the starter will get juice and turn over. Got it home to see if that helped and same thing turn the key hear it click lights go dim and thats it.

You also said that you moved it twice and then it happened again at the gas station. It is an intermittent problem. Pretty easy to clean the spades, your other options are to grab a voltmeter and start checking.
