Starter problems

Hey guys looking for some help. I just put a starter on my 75 blazer and when I go to start it it turns fine at first then starts to cut out when the engine is fixen to fire. Any Ideas on what the problem is? It is on a 350 with a granny 4speed if it matters. Thanks

One thing you may want to check.

I had one of my fly wheel bolts come out and got wedged into my starter. Made it a real bitch to start. You would think that would never happen but it did.

ThanksI checked everything adn seemed fine. So I had the mechanic from work to stop by and he got it going. starts fine now. All he did was put in acouple of shims and it's good. Beats me I used the shims that came with the starter like always and never had a problem till now. thanks again.
