Hey guys, working on my m1008 and am trying to get it to start. It still has the military 24v starter on it, I have the batteries in and wired for 24v. Batteries are in good shape. When I try to start it, the starter engages the flexplate, and it will turn over, approximately 6 or 7 teeth, and then it will stop and sit there making a buzz/click sound. Let off the key (ok ok, screwdriver) and let it 'reset' and it will turn over the 6 or 7 teeth again before it stops.
When it is turning over it is very slow. I checked the voltage at the junction block on the firewall it was 23.76v and at the starter I had 23.74v. When I turn the key to start that voltage drops to <1v. Is this the starter, wires, or starter switch gone bad? Thanks guys.
