I just bought a new headunit for the blazer and I am trying to find out how to wire everything up in there i just replaced the door speakers with some new 6x9's and i got two 6x9's and boxes in the rear as well, i am just tring to find out where to run what i know i am going witht he power wire to the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side but what about the yellow wire where do i put that!!! And where did yall ground out the unit as well are there any good places i am not thinking about??? Does anydosy have a wiring diagram of what it should look like?? And help would be greatly appreciated, i am used to just hooking up orange to orange and yellow to yellow but i am lost here and dont know where to start!!!

you don't need to hook up orange. and just find a constant for your yellow (12+) and an ignition (switched) for your red. and just a good ground. like your floor, lol. as long as your car is grounded then the body will be fine. if you want to test the ground you could do that also. and i don't think you have a power ant. but thats what the blue is usually for.

and just in case. i'm pretty sure that...

grey - right/front
white - left/front
green - left/rear
purple - right/rear

hope thats helps.

Yeah thanks i got the speakers down good right now i was just trying to find out about the yellow pretty much i was trying to find out what everybody else had theirs going to, and thanks again for the reply

do you have access to a multi meter, there are alot of constant 12+. on your fuse panel you might find an empty one also.

I will try to borrow one from my friend he is going to come over to help me with it, he has an old truck and he had to do his from scratch so hopefully i can get this done soon!!!

Got the headunit installed and the 6x9's as well next i need to cut up my old dual 10" sub box and turn it into a single box and throw in the sub then it will be perfect!!! Wasnt too bad got it all done in about an hour!!!

The yellow wire is constant power and the red should be to ignition source in order for the radio to shut-off when you turn your Blazer off. Make sure your ground wire is connected to solid metal, not a painted surface. Sand the surface down if you must connect the ground wire to a painted surface, otherwise you might get noise you don't want to hear through your stereo. Another place you may want to look is in the audio forum.
