On my 73 Blazer, when I cold start it, I have to pump the gas for a while to get the engine to turn over completely, and once it starts, unless i hold on the gas for a few minutes, or put it in drive immediately and drive it, the Blazer will die. I have to then start pumping gas again to get it to turn completely over, and it'll die a few more times while i just repeat the process until i can get a good idle out of it. Any idea what this is?

"Turn over completely" indicates the starter is unable to rotate the engine. I assume you mean that it takes awhile to start?

Choke adjustment would be my focus. Did this start as outside temps changed?

I bought it back in July, and its done it since then. The engine will fire up, but then it will just die down. If I turn the key, it won't start again unless I pump more gas.
