Ok, so after having my Blazer sit for many many years........Tomorrow I will be tossing in a new battery and firing it up! I can't wait to hear it rumble again! I will also be making a complete list of parts I'll need to repair the rust in the front floor section and get them ordered. Once they get here it will be time to cut out the old and weld in the new! You guys have no idea how excited I am to finally get going on the Blazer! I'll be sure to share pics along the way.

Hope it goes good Riz. What have you done so far to prepare for the first start up in years?

Filled with new gas, going to pre-oil through the distributor, going to check and/or replace the plugs, check everything real good. I hope it all goes well. It's all going down in a couple hours.

Well, it was able to turn over after some tweaking of the starter but thern we shut it off right away because the carb bowls/ floats are gummed up and started burping fuel back up. This week we'll take off the carb top end and clean things up and it should be good to go for ther final start up. It did sound awesome while it was running however. I so miss this thing. The rust repair was quoted super high but when I said I didn't need it to be show quality and that I will be driving it in WI winters then the guy said he'd do pastchwork repairs instead of a full restoration of the floor. I'm ordering parts and hopefully he'll have the time to work on it once they get here. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll still be driving it yet this year. I really wish I knew how to weld.
