School me.

I went to the website, and now I am wondering if I should go the Staun route of beadlocking, or go with an actualy beadlock rim.

Plus who is running a DIY4X style weld on beadlock. Have you ever blown the inner bead?

Just looking at my options, beadlock wise.

I already know about the hummer beadlocks. And I like the fact that they are street legal. I just don't like the lack of tire style, and size choices...

So that's why I was thinking about the Stauns. They're virtually invisible, and I could get them in a 17" rim... (more tire choices)

When I get ready for beadlock's ill probably go with the stauns. They dont have the same bling factor as beadlocks after all the stauns are basiclly a glorified innertube. Bead locks from my understanding are hard to balance, have a tendency to leak and are a huge pain to set up.
But if i came across a deal on some bead locks id buyem.:pimp: Bling!!!

Some love Staun's some hate them. They can be a PITA to get seated correctly and if they are not seated correctly you can pinch the innertube and it will leak and is trash. I don't have personal experience with them so I will let other people with more knowledge talk about them.

I have heard that actual beadlocks are more difficult to balance then a set of standard rims.

But would an active balancing media (ie: airsoft pellets) balance out a beadlock wheel and tire combo??

And on the same account, would an active balancing media get in the way of a staun beadlock??

Weld on beadlocks aren't gonna balance well, but airsoft or what have you might work to help eliminate some of the vibs. I personally wouldn't want to street drive weld ons at highway speed very often. I am sure people do it and I had a friend that did but still wouldn't be my number one choice.

If you are gonna street drive it a set of Stauns or something more precise then weld ons might be better. Most people who do weld ons trailer or do minimal highway driving.

i just got a set of h1s and i can tell you technically they arent street legal because they are supposed to be for military use only...i looked at everything when i went this route and for where i live h1s were my cheapest option i have like 150 bucks total in the deal with a trade on my old wheels...that was spacers and all :D
