STC out of business?

I finally decided to order a Fast Trac top for my 72 and found out that Specialty Top Company (STC) is out of business. see:

Does anyone else have any info on this? Why they went under? If anyone else will pick up where they left off?
I hope someone else buys the patterns and starts making them again.

Thanks for the info.
Looks like this was already discussed as early as March. Guess I'll either have to wait until/if they resurect the company, try to get something on e-bay, or get a different model.
I don't really like having snaps though,
