My Blazer came with mix and match street tires. I'd like to go with a 31x10.50 BFG AT for the time being. By the looks of my wheels, I'm guessing a 15x6? I haven't actually measured the width yet. Would the 31x10.50 work with a 15x6?BFG recommends a 7-9 inch width wheel. Anybody use this combo before? Pros/cons?

I'm eventually going to a 33x10.50R15 on 15x8 white Steelies with dog dish hubcaps. I'm on the hunt for white Steelies in 15x8. I'm wanting to keep the old school look with skinny tires. I'll be using a 4 inch suspension lift as well, but this is all a couple of years down the road.

31x10.5R15's will go just fine on 15x6's.

where to find 15X8 6-lug steelies, that is the question.
do you plan to clean up the old steelies? i'm in the same situation at the moment. thinking about blasting and painting...unless i can find some new 15X8 wheels that won't break the bank.

I'm gonna clean up and rattle can my present 15x6 Steelies. If and when I do find the 15x8 Steelies, I'm planning on having them media blasted and powder coated.

I'm starting to think these wheels are the OEM wheels for my K5. My SPID says it was equipped with "G78x15 Belted Tires". Wouldn't these "pizza cutter" tires been mounted on 15x6 wheels?

Most likely. 15x8's were considered wide then and were an optional item.

Finally got around to getting my 15x6 steelies sandblasted and powdercoated. Added some 31x10.50 R15 BFG AT KOs with new dog dishes. Loving the combo!

Looks sharp. If you are still looking for 15x8s, M1009s came with them. I think they all had the hubcap bumps. All of them that I have checked do, but I can't say 100% do.
