steering arm

[TIGHTWORK82 K5]

I need help; how in the world does the steering arm come off?????? (the C shaped monkey with three holes) I got the nuts off but I cant get thearm to budge. Im in the middle of installing my lift and at a stoping point can any one help out a rookie??????

Try doing a search....this has been explaned so many times.Try heat and a BFH!

OK....we beat the S#$T out of mine with a 20lb sledge....you have to hit it from the sides, the ebow and the joint hole. You cant hit it up or down...the acron nuts are designed to resist coming out that way. YES DO A SEARCH... SAVE THOSE ACORN NUTS..unless you have new ones.

Thanks for the help guys! I heated it up with a propane torch for about ten minutes then beat it about 15 times with the BFH annd wallaaaa. it came off. Im new to this site and i just got my k5; Pics will come soon. I have to have this done by sat. big halloween party outback. you guys saved my arse on this one, thanks again!!!!!
