Steering box brace kit.

Can the ORD steering box brace kit still be applied after using the weld on frame repair kit? I've just recently discovered my frame getting tiny hairline cracks around the steering box. Is it wise to purchase the weld on repar kit at this point or should i just run a few beads allong the problem areas?

The weld in goes on the outside of the frame, and the bolt in goes inside the frame...So even if you run the weld on, it wont effect the bolt on kit.

Ive heard of people Drill a hole at each end of the cracks, then fill them with weld. But i do not know the full procedure.

Buy both. Drill the end of the crack, fill the hole and crack with weld, weld on frame repair kit, get longer bolts for box brace (now your frame is thicker there) bolt brace on, hammer truck more!
