Rust free 78 K5 with 33s.this is not an off road truck
to the best of my knowlage there is no cracks in the frame

and on a scale of 1-10 how hard is it to put in

thanks

No offroad, no trail? I wouldn't worry about it. If you still want to do it, the bolt on is very easy to put on.

id at least do the bolt on brace, worth it. im in the middle of the weld on and then the bolt on is going on next. i got lucky, being good friends with a welding buddy, he's welding it on for free...

i just ordered one yesterday. hopefully my frame won't crack anymore and the steering will be better.

i've already fixed it once before. i'll check it out again just to be sure. if not i'll make up my own weld on plate.

well, just noticed this weekend, i'm gonna have to do the repair around the box. it's all cracked again.

yup, that's what i gotta do now. i'm looking for idea's to make my own repair plate.

Well worth it!

Its easy insurance that the frame won't break on you.
The brace triangluates and strengthens the frame at the steering box and prevents the frame from flexing while turning.
