steering box cap removal

Did you all reuse the retainer ring for the cap, or did you find a new one somewhere?
Mine got mangled trying to get it out.

Some people have good luck, but I didn't. You can buy a rebuild kit that has all the seals and prong for like 30 bucks. I got lucky and Kert had an extra one he sen with my brad locks

I just ordered a kit from Autozone today....Napa couldn't get a kit with that ring and the top cover gasket together...wtf Napa?
