What year trucks/Suburbans steering boxes match up to my 91 1500 4x4.As long as it is a 84-91 solid axle 1500 will match?????I need one bad

I belive '80 & up is the same. I think in '80 is when they switched from SAE fittings to metric fittings, for the hoses. And I think that is the only difference.

Was 91 the cutoff year? I heard 93 but not sure.

yes 91 is the last year for our body styles, then the frame changed alot and the box went to 3 bolts and inside the frame.

I think it's '82 that the new fittings started.

Wrong again Tim, when they sorta started changing the body style in '80, the gear boxes have metric threads. I know, because when I changed the 250 inline 6 in my '80 to a 350, I had to find a '80 or newer pump, because the threads were metric on the hose ends.
