Hey guys. The Blazer's steering was getting a little sloppy, so I checked out the front end to see what was up. Turns out, the frame is cracked by the steering box. Is there an easy way to fix this, or am I basically screwed? I'm not sure how to fix it, but I know it was fairly common on these trucks, mine being a '91. Any input?:(

Look on ORD`s website and check out the frame gusset and brace kits. When I removed the box from my 84 there were cracks running all over. youll need to grind out the cracks, drill the ends of the cracks and weld up, weld the gusset kit in per the directions,Do not run full welds around the entire outer edge of the plate, add the brace and you`ll be good to go. I actually had mine done at a local offroad shop for $200 because I only have a stick welder, a MIG would much better.
