Steering box question

Switching to crossover steering system and am hoping if someone can tell me whether or not the gear box from a 1997 c3500 2wd will work for this conversion?? I would crawl under and look myself but the truck is not at this location. Please and thanx for your assistance all. :-) :-)

assuming 73-87 crossover no it will not work. stick within the years for your truck.

88-up gmt400 new body style ifs trucks went inside frame bolt on box and wont work on 73-87-91 solid axle trucks.
