so my steering box on my 80 jimmy decided to crap the bed yesterday and im looking for a suitable replacement until i can switch to another style of steering. I found a used box from a 80 chev truck, will this work?? is there another box that is a direct bolt on but better then the stock one?

thanks guys

I cant help you with your question but I highly recommend you get the ORD Steering box Brace kit, since your already under there taking stuff apart, this helps beef up the area on the frame around the steering box, a common issue is frames cracking.

All the chevy trucks; blazer, k10,k20,k30, suburban from 79 and up should be the same box. The 79 and up box, uses the o-rings on the hoses. the pre 79 has flare fittings.
But simply, yes, that box should work just fine.
