Steering box shaft issue

Had a friend rebuild and tap a 2wd box I had. Didn't notice the selector shaft was cracked and twisted. So I was just going to pull the shaft out of the 2wd box in my truck and use it. WRONG! The damn gears are different. One has narrow teeth and the other are fat. Is there any where other than a junk yard to get a selector shaft?

Thats what I did, got me a 2wd box for $35.00
Hopefully it dont leak to bad.
