Is a steering box off of a 2 wheel drive and one off of a four wheel drive the same. Can a two wheel drive box be used in a four wheel drive truck

when doing cross over steering you need the 2wd box. don't think you can get the 4wd arm on the 2wd box.

If I recall correctly the 4wd output shaft has two index's and the 2wd has 4 index's.. you can't use a 2wd box on a 4wd unless you converting to cross-over. The pitman arm won't index and it won't be lined up correctly.
