Steering box?

Well I was expriencing a slight pop when steering left at very low speeds.I had a few loose crossmember rivets,which I replaced with bolts.I also installed an ORD steering brace.This did'nt solve the pop.Yesterday I got the wife to turn the wheel as I took a close look.I found that the shaft from the steering box drops about 1/2'' when turned to the left.Has anyone experienced this.Am I lookin at replacing the box?

Souns like the inside of the box is messed up....time to start looking for another one
