steering box

Hi
My steering box seems to have a problem. When i turn the wheel back and forth i can see the shaft that holds the pitman arm move up and down in the steering box. This in turn is causing some interesting steering issues. Anyways, is this adjustable from any adjustment screws, or is the box garbage... Thanks.

I have the exact problem on my truck, brother, but it hasn't resulted in any steering issues to date. What you're seeing is play in the sector shaft. Is your box leaking anywhere? What issues are you experiencing?

FWIW, I'm gonna be swapping in a "known to be good" box within the next month.

just doesnt like to turn back to center properly. im sure you know what i mean. just annoying. just put a new drag link in it and was trying to set the center when i noticed that. [steering box]

Bearings are bad or need adjusting.
