I just finished installing the ORD steering braces and I am not sure if I have the correct torque specs for the steering box. I currently have the bolts tightened to 75 ft lbs. Is this the correct torque? If not, what should it be?

Thanks in advance....

No body knows the answer? I find this hard to believe on this website....

There is no given torque spec that i'm aware of. I just make sure the frame to box bolts are TIGHT. I hit them with an impact gun and call it good.

Yeah, its a Dodge site but I believe this table is correct. Figure out the size of the bolt (they're probably 7/16") and the grade (8 I hope) and torque it to spec.

I have the same chart in one of my text books somewhere.

I get them as tight as my assortment of tools allows. Even then I check them after every wheeling trip to make sure they stay good and tight. Same thing with the pitman arm, that likes to loosen up from time to time.
