Just got An 88 K5 off of Indianna88. I want to swap the regular steering collumn with the tilt collumn in my 90. Is it possible and how far down do i disconnect it? What about wiring? Should it be the same? And helpful hints/imput is appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

Thanks,

Jeremy

Disconnect it from the intermediate shaft in the engine bay. Then unbolt/unhook everything attached to it in the passenger compartment. It will come out fairly easy.

Wiring is the only major issue, just make sure all the wires are the same. '88-90 should be, but with the '88 being standard, it may not have had some of the same wiring, like key in ignition buzzer, headlight warning, etc.
